In feed production facilities hygiene is crucial to the safety and quality of the end product. A common challenge is the effective cleaning of pipes and closed systems where fungi and bacteria can develop. Our innovative product Bact-Aid™ Dry offers an effective and practical solution.

Flushing

Bact-Aid™ Dry is a unique synergistic combination of organic acids and aldehydes, integrated on an inert carrier. This carrier has an abrasive effect, which removes the biofilm that can form on the inside of pipes and closed systems. This makes the product particularly suitable for flushing pipes and conveyor systems in feed production or other facilities, where thorough cleaning is essential for product safety.

Hard-to-reach areas

The use of Bact-Aid™ Dry as part of the Cleaning in Place (CIP) system offers countless benefits. CIP systems are designed to automatically clean the internal surfaces of equipment and pipes without dismantling the system, resulting in increased efficiency and reduced downtime. Bact-Aid™ Dry can effectively clean and disinfect even the hard-to-reach areas, such as dead legs, bends and couplings. This eliminates potential sources of (re-)contamination by fungi and bacteria, which is crucial for hygiene in feed production.

On-site decontamination

In addition to flushing, E.F.S-Holland and its Bacteriological Control division have the necessary expertise and equipment to treat dry raw materials and the final feed products with organic acid mixtures, often in combination with specific aromatic components. Decontaminating soya bean meal contaminated with Salmonella, for example, can be performed at any required location. Treatment is possible for products in bulk and in big bags using our mobile units EFS-1 and EFS-2. On-site decontamination is performed from A to Z by our bacteriological control specialists with a treatment capacity of up to 80 mton/hour.

Decontamination can also be carried out using a permanent dosing system. In this case, E.F.S. develops and installs a dosing system tailored to the specific needs of the customer.
